Want to know “how to make x account private”? Setting it to private is a breeze and lets you control who gets to see your posts. First, open the X app or website and log in. Tap your profile picture in the top left corner, then head to “Settings and privacy.” From there, click on “Privacy and security” and look for “Audience and tagging.”
You’ll see an option called “Protect your posts”—just flip that switch on. Boom! Now only people you approve as followers can see your posts, and your stuff won’t pop up in public searches. Plus, you’ll have to okay any new follower requests yourself. Want to lock it down even more? Check out the “Information sharing” part to tweak who can tag you or peek at your liked posts.
